Mongolian
artist OtGO (Otgonbayar Ershuu) has returned to Moldova — ten years
after his first exhibition that drew more than 25,000 visitors. This
time, he presented a unique collection of historical stamps — each one
a bridge between eras, carrying within it the stories, symbols, and
spirit of history. Every painting feels like a dialogue between the
past and the present — between memory and imagination. His art reminds
us that history is alive when it is seen through the eyes of beauty.
We are truly lucky here in Moldova to witness such world-class art
without leaving our country — to stand face-to-face with creativity
that speaks across borders and cultures.
At the end, I’ll share
with you five quotes from my conversation with this extraordinary artist
— words that reveal the depth of his vision and the silence behind his
colors:
- When an artist turns off his ambitions and stops thinking, then
inspiration comes and true art is created.
- Unfortunately, much contemporary art has no soul because everything
is created in a hurry.
- The skill of creating art cannot be learned, otherwise it would be
very boring.
- Modern people have a lot of information, but no knowledge.
- Money is like a virus. Sometimes it overcomes people and controls
them.
